Ontario MLS® Home Sales Record Modest Gain in September
Residential sales activity reported through the MLS® Systems of real estate boards in Ontario numbered 131,130 units in September 2024, a modest decrease of 1.5% compared to September 2023. The average price of resale residential homes sold across the province in September 2024 was $865,359, down only 1.3% from September 2023. Months of inventory numbered 4.9 at the end of September 2024, up from the 4.3 months recorded at the end of September 2023 and above the long-run average of 2.9 months for this time of year. Residential sales activity reported through the MLS® Systems of real estate boards in Ontario numbered 117,460 units in August 2024. This decreased by 2.8% from August 2023. The more comprehensive year-to-date average price was $867,787, a minor decrease of 1.4% from the first eight months of 2023. Ontario MLS® Home Sales Continue Slowly to Recover Amongst Inventory Surge
Residential sales activity reported through the MLS® Systems of real estate boards in Ontario home sales totalled 104,782 units over the year's first seven months. This was a modest decline of 2.9% from the same period in 2023. The more comprehensive year-to-date average price was $872,577, a minor decrease of 1.3% from the first seven months of 2023.
